What shipped in CrewSmart: October to December 2025
A quarter that was mostly about the daily report and the actions system, with one visible change that every user will have noticed the next time they logged in. Here is what reached customers between October and December 2025.
Weather and tides inside the DPR
The biggest change of the quarter landed in December. The Daily Progress Report can now show hourly forecasts for the ports and sites you are working from, alongside tide information, so the people planning tomorrow's transfers and the client reading the report are looking at the same data. There are more than fifty weather variables available and the templates are configurable, so a CTV operator reporting significant wave height and wind at the turbine can set that up once and leave it, while a harbour operation shows something different.
Two DPR fixes went out in the same period: crew end dates are now recorded correctly, and removing a crew member from a report no longer forces them to be re-added by hand, which had been creating stray allocations in Crew Manager.
Training and qualification requirements by region
Minimum requirements can now be set against a region as well as a role, vessel or contract. If crew operating in one area need a qualification that crew elsewhere do not, that is a single setting rather than a duplicated job role, and the compliance score and reminders follow it automatically.
Actions that know about each other
When a procedure triggers a follow-on action, the two are now linked, and you can link actions manually at any time. A defect that leads to a purchase requisition, a near miss that leads to a toolbox talk: the chain is visible from either end, which is exactly what an auditor asks to see. Large action timelines can also be reversed so the next question sits at the top of the page instead of at the bottom of a long scroll.
You're branding on the login page
Company Branding, under Admin > Company Details, lets you upload your own photographs for the CrewSmart login page. It is a small thing that makes the system feel like yours rather than ours. Images of 1600 × 900 or larger work best.
Smaller changes
- Day Sheet Log: change the vessel actually worked on directly in the log when plans differ from the schedule, and custom availability colours now show through.
- Navigation performance and compatibility improvements for Edge and Firefox.
- Procedures: user groups can be assigned as a trigger in one step, and commenting can be switched on or off per procedure type.
- Qualification notes are now visible in Crew Manager, so context is there when you are allocating.
